Chiller Relocation

Rasmussen Mechanical Services relocated both chillers approximately 20 feet north of the building and performed targeted service work on each system to improve reliability and system performance.

West Chiller work included removal and replacement of two compressor crankcase heaters, replacement of one fan cycling switch, inspection and cleaning of the system strainer, and the addition of polypropylene glycol to achieve a 45% dilution.

East Chiller work included leak checks on all heat exchangers within the chiller loop, completion of two system flushes to remove oil contamination, inspection and cleaning of the strainer, replacement of two compressor crankcase heaters, and refilling the system with 45% polypropylene glycol. The budget included a provision for 200 gallons of new polypropylene glycol.

All work was completed to restore proper operation, protect system components, and support long-term chiller performance. Shoutout to our Yankton HVAC Installation as well as the Repair team for coming together to relocate these chillers!
