Hot Pass Retube

The scope of work included mobilization to the site and removal of all 72 hot pass boiler tubes. Following removal, the front and rear tube sheets were cleaned and prepared for installation of new tubing.

A total of 72 new SA-178-A boiler tubes (2.5" OD x 0.105" MW x 188" length) were installed using mechanical seals at the front and rear tube sheets, with additional welding performed on the rear. Upon completion, the boiler was hydrostatically tested to verify integrity and ensure there were no leaks at the replaced tubes.

Work concluded with cleanup of the work area. Scope also included mileage, inspection fees, per diem, and rental equipment required to safely complete the work.

Exclusions included removal of obstructions not related to the hot pass, replacement of tubes outside the hot or first pass, and removal of scrap tubing from the site. Shoutout to our Yankton Boiler Repair team for the great work.
