Project Details
Rasmussen Mechanical Services recently completed the demolition and replacement of a low-pressure steam boiler system with the installation of a new Peerless PER211A05SPRKSN Cast Iron Sectional Boiler. This project brought major upgrades to the steam infrastructure, ensuring long-term performance and reliability.
Scope of Work Included:

Demolition of the existing boiler and removal of outdated components

Installation of a new Peerless PER211A05SPRKSN low-pressure steam boiler

New condensate return/makeup water tank with duplex pump configuration for redundancy and efficiency

Reinstallation of boiler room piping, including:

New gas piping from the existing shut-off valve to the boiler

New steam header piping, reconfigured from the north end union to the boiler for proper system design

New condensate piping throughout the boiler room

New insulation applied to all new piping to improve efficiency and safety

System testing and verification to ensure optimal functionality and safe boiler operation
This project not only restored the system’s functionality but also optimized its design for better performance and maintainability moving forward.
