Complete Retube

Rasmussen Mechanical Services completed a comprehensive boiler tube replacement project to restore safe operation and long-term reliability of the unit. The scope of work included removing deteriorated tubes and installing new code-approved replacements to ensure the boiler met performance and compliance requirements.

Our team began by cutting out and removing the tubes identified for replacement. Accessible internal surfaces were then brushed clean to remove loose scale and debris, preparing the boiler for proper tube installation and sealing.

The project included the installation of:

• 94 new Rolled and Beaded SA-178-A boiler tubes
  2.5" OD x 0.105" minimum wall x 94 1/8" length

• 70 new Rolled and Beaded SA-178-A boiler tubes
  2.5" OD x 0.105" minimum wall x 116 3/4" length

Following installation, the boiler was hydrostatically tested to verify tube integrity and ensure there were no leaks prior to returning the unit to service.

All work was completed in full accordance with NBIC requirements and applicable State boiler codes, ensuring a safe, compliant, and reliable repair.Shoutout to our Seward Boiler Repair team for the great work!
