New Boiler Room

Rasmussen Mechanical Services completed a full boiler room renovation to improve heating reliability, redundancy, and long-term system performance for this facility. The project began with the removal of existing boilers and associated piping to prepare the space for new high-efficiency equipment and updated system infrastructure.

Our team furnished and installed three new 1,600 MBH vertical hot water boilers, providing increased capacity and dependable heating for building operations. A new common pipe manifold was installed to integrate the boilers into a unified system, and the facility’s existing heating loops were tied into the new manifold to ensure consistent temperature control across the system. All boilers were configured to operate on a shared manifold temperature for optimized performance and efficiency.

To enhance reliability and maintain continuous operation, Rasmussen Mechanical also provided and installed four new system pumps, with two pumps per loop to deliver full redundancy in the event of equipment failure.

The project included the installation of new boiler stacks, ensuring safe and code-compliant venting. Once installation was complete, the boilers were fully started up and commissioned to verify proper operation, controls integration, and system performance.

All required permits, licenses, and inspections were included as part of the project scope, ensuring full compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
