Refractory Cone Installation

Rasmussen Mechanical Services completed a burner cone replacement and refractory repair to restore safe and reliable burner operation on this boiler system. The project required careful disconnection and reinstallation of burner components to ensure proper access and code-compliant reassembly.

Our team began by removing electrical and fuel piping connections as needed and disconnecting the burner assembly to gain access to the existing burner cone. The deteriorated cone was then removed from the unit.

A new factory-supplied dry oven refractory cone from Industrial Combustion was installed to provide improved durability and proper flame shaping within the combustion chamber. New refractory material was then packed and sealed around the dry oven to ensure a secure fit and long-term thermal protection.

Following installation, Rasmussen Mechanical reconnected the burner assembly, restored all electrical and fuel connections, and verified proper system configuration for safe operation.
