Dual Watertube Boiler Installation

The JBS Grand Island plant runs on steam, and its old Nebraska watertube boiler needed to come out. The owner had sourced two boilers from Texas to replace it. Our Grand Island boiler installation teams job was to get them in and running without shutting the plant down for long.

We started by isolating the old boiler from the steam and fuel systems so it could come out safely. Then we rigged in the two replacement boilers and tied them into the plant, working around production. The controls that came with the boilers were in poor shape, so we fitted both with Autoflame MK8 combustion controls before putting them in service.

We’ve stayed with this plant since, on steam header upgrades, safety relief replacements and boiler service.
