Triple Make-Up Air Unit Replacement

We brought in a crane, pulled the three King Air units and set three new Rupp RAM 36 make-up air units on stands. Our crew hooked up the gas lines and ductwork and handled the controls. An electrician disconnected the old units and powered up the new ones.

Each new unit has an 84-inch natural gas burner rated at 3,515,000 BTU with a 90-degree temperature rise. It moves 36,000 CFM with a 25-horsepower premium-efficiency supply motor on a variable frequency drive. The units start at low fire and come with supply air dampers and actuators, a freeze stat with a 20-foot sensor, and alarm lights for low temperature and clogged filters. Each also has a control panel heater for Iowa winters and a remote panel with a 40-to-80-degree dial. The heat exchangers carry a five-year warranty.
