Indoor Air Handling Unit Installation

Rasmussen Mechanical Services completed the installation of new Daikin indoor air handling units to improve ventilation performance, comfort control, and long-term system reliability for this facility. The upgraded air handling equipment was selected to support efficient heating and cooling delivery while maintaining high indoor air quality standards.

The installed units feature double-wall foam-insulated construction with base rails, providing enhanced durability, reduced sound transmission, and improved thermal efficiency. Each unit operates on 208V, three-phase electrical service and includes MERV 8 filtration, with two complete sets of filters per filter bank to support cleaner airflow and easier maintenance.

The system was equipped with both DX cooling coils and reheat hot water coils, allowing for precise temperature control and improved humidity management throughout the building. Additional design features include stainless steel drain pans to prevent corrosion and ensure proper condensate management.

For serviceability and long-term maintenance access, the units were furnished with access doors and removable panels where applicable, supporting efficient inspections and future repairs. Supply fan selection was verified to ensure proper airflow and performance based on project requirements.
