Portable Boiler FAQ
What is a portable boiler?
A portable boiler is a temporary, self-contained system that provides steam or hot water for heating, processing, or power generation. These units are commonly used in industrial facilities, construction sites, and during emergencies when permanent boilers are unavailable or undergoing maintenance.
How important is water treatment for a rental boiler?
Water treatment is critical for avoiding damage to the boiler. Poor water quality can lead to scaling, corrosion, and tube failure. Regular blowdowns, monitoring total dissolved solids (TDS), and maintaining proper water chemistry will help extend the life of the rental boiler.
How can I reduce downtime when switching to a rental boiler?
Installing tie-in points for steam and feedwater connections ahead of time can reduce downtime. This allows the rental boiler to be quickly integrated into your system without requiring a full plant shutdown. Preparing for contingencies in advance can make the transition smoother and more efficient.
